Trancemediumship »

Trance

Trance is another form of mediumship, which interests me very much. Trance is a further development of mental mediumship, and is a passive mediumship. This means that the medium itself shall not make any interpretations, leaving it entirely to the spirit world.

The medium goes into a different consciousness, ( in a so-called altered state of consciousness) and rises to the side enough that a spirit, guide to be able to use the medium's voice and communication skills to "melt" together our worlds.

The medium lends a small part of his brain to the spirit world to work with, and thus let the spirit take a stronger control over what happens when mental mediumship. The more the medium can give free rein and step aside, the more you get out of the trance, and the more clearly to his/her message to reach without interference.

The big problem we have to contend with when you start to develop trance is that really dare to let go of control, and feel full confidence in the spirit world. It is precisely this that is the whole premise for it to function.

This form of mediumship is usually practiced in a closed circle trance, where one person in the circle is a trance medium, with the other circle participants sit for him. In a trance circle is always a circle leader, the circle leader's responsibility to ensure that the circle is working properly.

The circle leader is always the person who looks after the medium, and it is impotant that there is someone the medium can feel safe with. It is the circle leader who primarily lead all communications with the spirit thet comes through via the medium.

If there are questions from the other circle of participants, so it always a circle leader who decides, in turn, who may question the medium and the spirit world. The exception is if the medium turns to a certain person in the circle, then speak those two together. Circle leader's function is also to open and close the circle.

The most important thing in such a circle is that there complete harmony, and that you have a good circle leader that you feel full trust and confidence with.

The different levels of consciousness in trance

Over shadow:

In this particular form of communication has a spirit, guide was very close to the medium. This is done with full agreement of the medium, otherwise it would be totally impossible. It is this closeness that allows the spirit, the guide will affect the medium, he or she will then talk to the communicating spirit. Speech will be medium, but the words come from the spirit, guide and the medium will be able to let the guide adress these to the circle. In this stage will usually always remember what was said from the spirit world.

Light trance:

In light trance, the spirit, the guide comes closer than happens in over shadow. It allows the spirit, the guide speak more directly without involving him self. It feels as if it swings back and forth in this mind. Occasionally you may be awere, that in the next minute not be awere at all.

In this stage, you can experience that you can hear your self speak, but will usually not remember what was said. Usually this will be an informative chat with the spiritual content and in certain special occasions, participants in the circle to be able to ask questions and obtain answers from the spirit, guide.

Deep trance:

In deep trance releases one's consciousness altogether. It allows the spirit, the guide have full control of what is being said and happening, and we are not awere of either time or space.

In deep trance, it is not unusual for relativs of the circle, making itself known, and then talk about old memories you have together.

In a deep trance has no memory at all of what was said or done during the trance.
